Talk about cheap membership, if it were any less it would be immoral to be a member. Yes, we're still saying that even after a rise in fees. Sorry about that but our overheads are subject to the same market forces as everyone else who uses this excuse. Speaking as a recently paid up member I can vouch for the heady feeling of righteousness - that and sleeping a lot better now the executive have stopped those phone calls in the middle of the night.

Any individual may apply for membership of the society. Companies may subscribe to the Society's newsletter, "Microscopy in Focus".

Subscriptions per annum are as follows: (Please note the rise in fees which moves them to the 'still a steal' category.)

$20 for standard membership
$10 for student membership
$40 for corporate subscription to the newsletter.
